 How To Make Instant Crispy Jalebi

Ingredients required:

For preparing batter:

  • Maida/All purpose flour - one cup
  • Curd - half cup
  • Eno - half tea spoon
  • salt - half tea spoon
  • water - for preparing the batter
  • Empty milk/oil packets or sauce bottles

For preparing syrup:

  • sugar - 2 cups
  • water - 1 cup
  • turmeric - half tea spoon
  • oil for deep frying

Procedure:

Preparing Batter:

Add 1 cup Maida, half cup curd, 1/2 tea spoon eno (any flavour), pinch of salt in a bowl. Mix all the ingredients well. Add water little by little. Stir it for 2 min so that there are no lumps in it. Mix thoroughly, beat the batter for 5-6 times. Keep it aside for atleast 1/2 an hour to 1 hour. Meanwhile we can start preparing syrup.

 Preparing Syrup:

Take a small beaker. Add 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water. Add a pinch of turmeric. Let it boil. After it gets started to boil turn off the heat, let it cool.

Procedure of making Jalebi:

Transfer the batter into milk/oil packets or sauce bottles. make a small cut at one of the edge of the packet, according to your requirement of the thickness of jalebi.  Make sure that oil should be very hot. To test it you can put lilltle batter into it, it should sizzle and come up as soon as you put.Now slowly with constant pressure press the batter packet/bottle into the beaker of oil, so that you can make concentric circles, as shown in fig.2.

 Don't try to turn it over until 1-2 minutes, it may break. After 1-2 minutes you can turn it over and fry until golden brown. After frying as soon as you take it out from oil within seconds you should place then in the sugar syrup and press it inside, make sure that it should completely be sinked in. let it be for 1-2 minutes, then you can take it out and serve instant crispy jalebis. 😀
