fig.1

Ingredients required:

1) Rice flour - 1cup

2) Maida/all purpose flour - 1/2 cup

3) Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup

4) Roasted channa dal - 2 table spoon

5) Zeera - 1 tea spoon

6) Oil - for frying

7) Salt - a pinch

8) Red chilli powder - 1/2 tea spoon

9) Luke warm water - 1 cup (same cup as used for measuring flours)

Procedure:

Tranfer rice flour and Maida into a pan. Heat it gently in a low flame till it gets warm. Then turn off and transfer it to a container, heat one table spoon of oil and pour it into the conatiner and mix it well. Add grated coconut, roasted channa dal and little water in a mixer bowl, grind it into a paste. Add the paste into the conatiner containing rice flour and maida, add all other ingredients like zeera, red chilli powder, salt according to your taste, mix it up well. Add luke warm water little by little to the mix and make it into a soft dough, as shown in fig 2.

fig.2

knead the dough nicely so that it becomes smooth. Now divide the dough into small balls nearly lemon sized and roll it on the plate or between your hands cylindrically applying oil so that it doesn't appear sticky and join the two ends, as shown in fig.1. Now heat the oil in a pan with medium flame. Oil should be completely heated, you can check it by putting a small piece of dough into the oil, if it comes up as soon as we put then oil is ready to fry. Now drop one by one kodubale into the oil, make sure that it should not be crowded and dont try to turn it over  until 1 or 2 minutes, otherwise kadubales may break in oil. After 2-3 minutes you can turn it over and cook for other side. let them fry until they become golden brown and crispy. After frying transfer them to a airtight container with tissues to absorb extra oil. Now Crispy Kodubales are ready to be served.😀

THANK YOU😊
